Service Description

This is a two day workshop. Day one: Friday 20th September 2024 Day two: Friday 27th September 2024 Each day runs from 10am - 4pm and attendance can be logged as 12 structured CPD points. This interactive workshop will provide space for you to: - explore some of theoretical frameworks centred around the neurodiversity paradigm - learn how neurodiversity intersects with a number of other health conditions - understand the politics of 'person first' Vs 'identity first' language - gain an understanding of why neurodivergent conditions are dynamic and the reason they present so differently in people - consider how certain neurodivergent traits could be a useful asset in the interpreting & translating professions, as well as the coping strategies many neurodivergent professionals utilise to do their job - discuss how executive functionality, empathy and social and linguistic cultural variation is viewed within neurodivergent communities - participate in a number of self guided activities where you will learn more about how you process sensory information, utilise executive function and manage cognitive load - think more deeply about co-working and your professional practice and how we can make informed decisions about meeting our own needs, as well as those of our colleagues *** Payment plans can be arranged - please contact me directly to discuss ***
